Junior Data Engineer – Main responsibilities for this position

• Assist in ingesting, preprocessing, and validating large volumes of structured and unstructured medical imaging data from diverse sources.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with company’s data operational and AI workflows.
• Design and manage relational databases, data models, and dictionaries to support data traceability and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools for data annotation, visualization, and analysis.
• Automate data processes to enhance efficiency and support machine learning engineers and their data needs in Azure and Databricks.
• Monitor data quality through testing frameworks and resolve anomalies in collaboration with data scientists.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including HIPAA and GDPR.

Junior Data Engineer – Main requirements 

• Experience with Python and data processing Python libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and SciPy.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related STEM field.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Basic understanding of version control tools (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Nice to have (preferred) technical skills:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks (preferred) or Snowflake.

Soft skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively in English (at least, B2, upper intermediate).
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows.
