Our partner is a company offering digital solutions, to help governments manage and improve their services. We’re looking for a Senior Automation Test Specialist to join a long-term international project (4 years total duration) for the EU’s operational arm for border security – an organization that supports and coordinates national agencies in safeguarding the European Union’s frontiers while upholding European values and fundamental rights.

Location: Warsaw, Poland, Near site work mode
Brief position description
As a Senior Automation Test Specialist, you’ll design, execute, and lead testing efforts for complex software systems that serve critical operational functions at the EU level. You’ll collaborate closely with analysts, architects, and development teams to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance. You’ll also contribute to automation initiatives and testing strategies using tools like Playwright and Azure DevOps Test Plans, helping to build scalable, testable, and maintainable solutions for one of Europe’s most high-impact projects.

Senior Automation Test Specialist – Key Responsibilities
- Design and document test cases for software systems.
- Execute manual and automated tests.
- Conduct exploratory testing sessions.
- Report and track defects and test results.
- Interpret test results, report progress and issues.
- Collaborate closely with architecture, development, and service desk teams.
- Review and analyze project documentation.
- Act as test lead on smaller projects.
Senior Automation Test Specialist – Main requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with experience testing complex systems.
- ICT-relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) is obligatory.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience with the tools they are using: Azure DevOps Test Plans, Playwright or equivalent, One of scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or VBS, SQL queries (writing and validating), Testing SharePoint-based applications.
- Certification: at least one of the following: ISTQB Advanced / Equivalent international certification (subject to client approval) OR 3+ years’ experience in test design above the minimum experience level
- English level: minimum B2, confirmed by certificate (even free online certification).
