We are partnered with a fast-growing UK-based fintech company developing next-generation digital solutions for trade and supply chain finance. Their mission is to bridge the global trade finance gap by empowering mid-market companies in emerging markets with accessible, efficient, and transparent cross-border funding. They’re now looking for a Security and Compliance Assistant to join their growing remote team across Poland and the EU, helping strengthen the company’s cloud and organizational security posture and ensuring smooth compliance operations across their fintech infrastructure.

You’ll join a small, fast-moving engineering team focused on improving the developer platform — creating the tools, workflows, and automation that make product engineers more productive. Expect a mix of development, cloud operations, and internal tooling — with plenty of freedom to experiment, use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.), and learn from senior engineers.

Security and Compliance Assistant – Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage alerts: Support continuous monitoring using tools like AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center, Vanta, Coalition, and Trust Center.
  • Maintain documentation: Update security policies, procedures, and internal compliance records to align with evolving standards.
  • Run scans and track fixes: Execute vulnerability scans, record findings, and assist in coordinating remediation efforts.
  • Secure the SDLC: Help integrate and oversee code security checks within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Access management: Support onboarding/offboarding by managing credentials and permissions across systems.
  • Assist in releases: Prepare release notes and perform release-related security checks with DevOps.
  • Policy management: Draft, revise, and circulate internal compliance policies.
  • Collaboration: Work with engineering and IT to resolve minor security or compliance issues.

Security and Compliance Assistant – Main requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in DevOps, IT security, or technical operations.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments (through experience, internship, or self-study).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify false positives and compliance gaps.
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills.
  • Interest in security frameworks, cloud compliance, and automation.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above.
  • Proactive, analytical mindset and motivation to learn in a dynamic fintech environment.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Experience running vulnerability scans or working with DevOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or automation (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

Tech Stack:

  • Cloud/Runtime: AWS, containers, ECS/Kubernetes, CloudFormation -> Terrraform.
  • Langs: TypeScript, Python.
  • APIs: RESTAPI, GraphQL.
  • Obs: Prometheus/Grafana.

An online call with the CTO and Department Lead (1–1.5h). Includes technical and soft-skill questions.
