Whom are we looking for – Production Manager (Hardware)
Location: Kraków, Poland (on-site work, no remote option due to specifics of the product).
Brief position description
We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager (Hardware) with strong experience in electronics and hardware manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have successfully built or scaled production lines for IT hardware, electronics, or electromechanical products and will be ready to take an ownership of the company’s new drone production facility in Kraków. This is a hands-on leadership role covering line setup, process optimization, people management, and quality assurance.

Production Manager (Hardware) – Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end production operations: daily line management, takt time, throughput, first-pass yield, OEE.
- Line design & ramp: layout, workstations, jigs/fixtures, ESD & safety, pilot → mass production transfer.
- People leadership: hire, train, and schedule assembly techs; set clear work standards and performance KPIs.
- BOM & materials control: engineering BOM ↔ manufacturing BOM, ECOs, component substitutions, AVL.
- Inventory & supply: MRP, safety stock, cycle counts, kitting, incoming inspection, RMA loop.
- Quality system: IPC/ESD practices, in-process testing, end-of-line test, traceability, 8D/CAPA, SPC.
- Documentation: work instructions (SOPs), control plans, test procedures, traveler/serial tracking in ERP/MES.
- Cross-functional: work with Hardware/PCB/Mechanical/Software on DFM/DFT and continuous improvement.
Production Manager (Hardware) – Main requirements:
- 10+ years leading production for IT hardware/electronics (boards + electromechanical assemblies).
- Hands-on with PCBs/SMT through-hole, rework, conformal coating, cabling, box build.
- Built or scaled at least one production line (prototype → mass production), including QA systems.
- Strong BOM/ECO discipline; comfortable in ERP/MRP (e.g., Odoo, SAP B1, NetSuite).
- Proven team hiring/management at the production-tech/line-lead level (15–50+ headcount).
- Solid grasp of IPC standards, ESD controls, test development, yield improvement.
- Fluent Polish; working English (written + spoken).
Nice to have:
- Drones/UAV, defense, or regulated hardware experience.
- Supplier development in EU/Asia; PCBA/EMS partner management.
- NPI/NPD with DFM/DFT, jigs/fixtures, and automated end-of-line test.
- Experience introducing MES dashboards, barcode/QR traceability, and basic automation.
Success in Your First 90 Days:
- Stabilize a documented daily management system (SQDCP board, shift handovers).
- Lock standard work + visual work instructions for top assemblies.
- Implement basic traceability (serials, traveler, test data) and a live defect Pareto.
