We are partnered with one of the fastest-growing startups in the global IT infrastructure space, building a modern platform that simplifies IT equipment management across 140+ countries. Their system enables companies to deploy devices within 3–4 days, manage assets globally, integrate with HRIS tools, and automate IT administration at scale. Backed by strong traction and rapid growth, they are now looking for a Senior/Lead Software Engineer to help evolve their core backend platform and architecture.

Location: Poland (Remote), Kraków preferred

Our partner is transforming how international companies manage IT hardware. From global device logistics and asset tracking to HRIS integrations and automated IT workflows, they are building a distributed backend system that eliminates onboarding delays and reduces operational overhead. The engineering team is scaling rapidly, moving from early-stage structure toward a high-growth organization. This role is critical in shaping the architecture, technical standards, and long-term evolution of the backend platform.

Senior/Lead Software Engineer – Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive evolution of the backend platform, leading architectural and technical changes across core systems.
  • Collaborate closely with product designers and fellow backend engineers to turn real-world IT workflows into scalable, well-designed systems.
  • Build and evolve a globally distributed system for asset management, device delivery, HRIS integrations, and an autonomous IT admin agent.
  • Design and implement backend architecture, with a focus on reliability, extensibility, and long-term scalability.
  • Deliver new backend capabilities end-to-end, from concept and design through implementation and production rollout.

Senior/Lead Software Engineer – Main requirements

  • 5+ experience on a similar position with with Java/Kotlin, preferrably Kotlin.
  • Strong practical experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot in daily development workflows.
  • Experience working in small, fast-growing companies (e.g., scaling engineering teams from 5 to 50 people).
  • Strong architectural thinking and system design skills.
  • Knowledge of Python (part of the product ecosystem is built in Python).
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously.
  • Solid testing practices and responsibility for production-grade code quality.

Bonus Points

  • MCP protocol knowledge.
  • Experience working on automation agents or workflow-driven platforms.
