Whom are we looking for – Full Stack Cloud Engineer (AWS, Go, Live Video)

Location: Kraków, Poland (on-site work, full-time, no remote option due to specifics of the product).

Brief position description

We’re seeking an experienced engineer to own our partner’s cloud platform end to end: AWS infrastructure, Go backend services, and the live video pipeline. You’ll help deliver drone video to the browser in seconds, improve playback latency, and ensure the system performs reliably in real-world conditions.

Why is it worth joining this company?

  1. Own a core product platform: Take responsibility for the cloud systems and live video pipeline at the heart of the product.
  2. Make a real-world impact: Build technology that helps first responders and law enforcement act quickly and find people faster.
  3. Work closely with the builders: Join a fast-moving, Kraków-based team and collaborate in person with the engineers developing the drones.

Full Stack Cloud Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the AWS cloud platform, including architecture, deployment, monitoring, security, reliability, and cost.
  • Run the live video pipeline from AWS ingestion through fragmentation, segmentation, HLS packaging, and delivery to the browser.
  • Investigate and reduce latency across the video chain, including segment sizes, sender behavior, and player buffering.
  • Track performance from drone and ground station through upload, AWS ingestion, and browser playback, using metrics such as bitrate, dropped frames, queue depth, jitter, and rebuffering.
  • Build and maintain backend services in Go.
  • Work with drone and embedded engineers to test the system in real field conditions.

Full Stack Cloud Engineer – Main requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating cloud systems, with expert-level AWS knowledge across compute, networking, storage, IAM, containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Production experience with real-time video and broadcast systems, including the full HLS workflow: segmentation, manifests, buffering, and player behavior.
  • Strong understanding of H.265/HEVC and H.264 codecs and compression, including bitrate control, keyframes, GOP structure, and the trade-offs between quality and latency.
  • Strong production experience with Go (Golang).
  • Familiarity with browser-based video playback, including HLS players such as hls.js and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Solid networking fundamentals, including HTTP/TCP, RTP, packet loss, and jitter.
  • Fluent English and readiness to work full-time in person at the Kraków office.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Low-Latency HLS, SRT or WebRTC, FFmpeg or GStreamer, AWS media services such as Kinesis Video Streams, MediaLive, MediaPackage, or CloudFront;
  • Experience with drones, robotics, or other field devices streaming live video;
  • Security-first mindset.

Full Stack Cloud Engineer – What is in it for you?

  • Salary range: up to 20000 PLN on B2B basis;
  • Paid Vacations on B2B: 25 days a year;
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for career growth and role progression, including salary advancement;
  • Full ownership of the platform at the center of our product.
  • Work that matters: your code helps responders find people faster.
  • A fast-moving team with short decision paths, working in person with the people who
    build the drones.
